Does the document read like one author?
Each passage gets a stylometric fingerprint — sentence rhythm, vocabulary, punctuation habits. Passages that deviate from the document's own baseline are flagged as style shifts, with the feature that moved. Add a sample of your own writing to compare against.
Passage-level fingerprints
Style is measured per passage against the document's own baseline — a pasted-in section stands out from the writing around it.
Named deviations
A flag names the feature that shifted — sentence length, vocabulary richness, punctuation pattern — not just "suspicious".
Compare against your writing
Provide 40+ words of your own prose and the check measures stylometric distance plus quote-level evidence between the document and your sample.
Works with the detector
Style shifts plus AI-typical flags in the same passages tell a stronger story than either alone — the tools share your document without re-pasting.
How it works
01
Paste or upload
The whole document — consistency is measured against its own baseline, so more text means a steadier baseline.
02
Optionally add your sample
A paragraph or two of writing that's definitely yours turns consistency checking into comparison.
03
Read the shifts
Flagged passages show which stylometric feature deviated and by how much — evidence you can point at.
Supporting evidence, never proof
Style analysis is probabilistic. People write differently when tired, editing, or covering different material — a style shift is a reason to look closer, not a verdict. We present it as supporting evidence and label it that way on every result.
Straight answers
Can it prove I wrote something?
It can show that a document is stylometrically consistent with your sample — supporting evidence, useful alongside drafts and version history (which the suite also keeps). No style tool alone constitutes proof.
What does a style shift mean?
A passage deviates from the document's own baseline on measured features. Common innocent causes: quoted material, pasted boilerplate, heavy editing. The named feature helps you judge which.
How much sample text does comparison need?
At least 40 words; a few paragraphs is better. The steadier your sample, the more meaningful the distance measurement.
