Transcribe

Turn audio or video into text — caption clips, repurpose talking-head content into copy, or pull a script from existing footage.

Transcribe converts audio or video into text. Use it to caption a clip, turn a talking-head video into written copy, or recover a script from footage you already have.

What it does

It listens to the speech in your audio or video file and returns it as text. From there you can caption the clip, repurpose what was said into copy for other channels, or use the transcript as a starting script for a new render. It's the bridge between spoken content and everything you can do with text.

How to use it

  1. Open the Editing tools and pick Transcribe.
  2. Upload the audio or video you want turned into text.
  3. Run the transcription and wait for the result.
  4. Review the text and fix any names or terms that need a touch-up.
  5. Copy the transcript out, or use it to caption or script your next video.

Tips

  • Cleaner audio gives a cleaner transcript — trim heavy background noise first.
  • Use a transcript to pull the strongest line for your hook or caption.
  • Repurpose a talking-head clip's transcript into a script for a fresh render.
  • Keep the transcript on hand as a reference when editing captions on the timeline.
